Deliverance Company is a band of mercenary do-gooders. They're rough and ready for just about anything....except falling for members of the opposite sex!! After years of the "use them--then lose them" attitude, these masculine mauraders become downright scared to see themselves falling in love. That's the funny part. The part that's tricky is that they must recognize the love they feel and then convince their female counterparts to fall for a guy in an unusually high-risk occupation. "Someday Soon" is the story of Cain and the widow. It's also the story of a banged up Mallory and the physical therapist. "Sooner or Later" is the story of hard guy Murphy and the postmistress. It's also the story of slick and smooth Jack Keller and the hairdresser. This book is really four stories (not all have happy endings) formed into two novels and is a great read. I give the book two thumbs up!!

reissue of two earliers works: Someday Soon, and Sooner or Later. Both excellent. Wish she had more in this series.

I was a little surprised with these stories... they aren't really like some of the newer series romances by Macomber. These were a little grittier, and there was a little suspense in them. The first book in the Deliverance Series, Someday Soon, was my least favorite of the two in this volume. I didn't really connect to the main hero or heroine, and I found the secondary story to be of greater interest. It does help the comprehension of the next story's characters if you've read this one, though. I found I enjoyed Sooner or Later a lot more... the main hero & heroine were both headstrong characters who had me chuckling, and I liked the surprise twist with the secondary characters towards the end. I really want to read Jack Keller's story now in the final book from this series, Moon Over Water.
