An excellent book filled with history of Impressionism in the art world. Much historical facts are written about not only famous artists (Manet, Monet, Messonier, and others), but Napoleon, the Prussian War. A truly fascinating book written by Ross King. Hundreds of references to subjects are included. An excellent book for the artist's or historians bookshelf, or someone just interested in learning of the Impressionism era.
