This book was an excellent resource when teaching my children about decomposition and the life cycle in the forest! The pictures are very detailed and the text gives lots of information while keeping it fun.

First two pages.. This oak tree has been living in the forest for a hundred years. One day, a strong wind knocks the tree down. The tree falls to the ground. Now the tree is a log.
