This young fellow followed his dream to China; on his list of questions about life had been "Do I have courage, am I a courageous person". He proved he could endure discipline and so much pain in his desire to become a "fighting" hero; and he won a championship.
I passed this book on to a favorite nephew; to his middle aged aunts who are totally anti-gym or other intense sports; and each one of them thought the story was great! This is funny, heroic, and illuminating about being American in a Chinese environment for 2 years; and about testing one's self in the World. His parents deserve a medal for letting him go - to find his strengths and answer his questions about himself as a young Man.
