This is a great paranormal series and very different from the vampire/were type immortals. But I hope the next book doesn't have a heroine with issues from the past that keep her from accepting the hero until the end of the book. This seems to be a pattern in each of the books so far and if Lexi and Zach are the next couple, it looks like it will happen again. The heros are to die for- strong warriors, hot and loyal and all very interesting.
I loved Paul and was pulling for for him the whole way and very glad Andra finally saved his soul. Andra wasn't so easy to like, a very tortured soul from a horrific incident in her past and totally dedicated to her sister. I am really looking forward to hearing more about her father. There are so many characters introduced in this book that it could go on for a long series, hopefully. I already put the next book on my wish list.

For the most part a good read, but I agree with the other reviewer, I liked the first book better.

This one is darker, and full of various secondary characters, which, at least to some extent, stole Paul and Andra's (the H and h) thunder... (Though they also convinced me SKB's earned a place on my auto buy list :D )

Also (and this is a bit of a spoiler) The heroine is tormented by something that happens in her past...and it stops her from accepting her Hero until literally the final pages....(and come to think of it, things don't completely wrap up, which means we unfortunately might have to revisit her). The something that happens is pretty major, but the fact that it took her so long to let it go, made it extremely hard to like her. And to some degree she comes off as whiny. She annoyed me so much I actually took a month long break in the middle of reading this! It wasn't until I couldn't remember why I'd abandoned the book that I could pick it up again....and after doing so, promptly recalled what made me so annoyed in the first place!

I liked Paul a lot better...He's what paranormal Hero's are made of :) So much so, that I sorta-kinda wanted something bad to happen to Andra just so he could find someone truly deservng of his greatness :)

so.... an okay book, but I figure only read it if you're interested in reading the books in order.... I'm crossing my finger's the next one will be better...or at least have a heroine I don't dislike quite so much.

I am so completely hooked on this series. I haven't found anything this exciting since I discovered Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters. The synopsis doesn't even begin to explain this series. It has so many layers and characters....to many to explain. Yes the obvious romance happens, and almost everyone gets the happy ending....but not all. Butcher leaves just enough unanswered questions to keep you wanting more. Does Zach find Lexi? Does Madoc save Nika? What happens when Andra's real father discovers what happened? What monsters are the Synestryn creating now, and why do they need the children? I couldn't wait for these books to come in on wish list, so i ran out and bought them, and I'm not sure if I can part with them just yet.

How do you choose between your sister and your life mate? Only one can survive, but can you survive without either of them?

Paul is a Sentinal warrior and his race is dying out. They all have tattoos on their chest and once the last leaf falls, their soul dies. Paul has one leaf left and his time is running out to find his mate. Only she can complete his soul and save his life. But the women are very hard to find, and it takes time to trace their bloodlines to someone who may be a life-mate; time Paul may not have.

Andra is a locator of lost children. Eight years ago, the monsters invaded her house, killed her mother, abducted her baby sister, and wounded her other sister. Now, she takes on specialty cases to locate abducted children, and her fees are not cheap. She needs the money to pay for her sisters medical care. Shes in a psychiatric hospital; she hasnt been the same since that fateful night eight years ago.

When Paul finds Andra, shes fighting several of the Synestryn at once trying to recover a young boy. With his help and his fellow warriors, they are successful. But Paul has touched Andra and believes she is his mate. Andra will bond with Paul if that is what it takes to help her sister. He and his fellow warriors seem to have a gift to cure the mind. Andra will use Paul to get what she wants, but at what cost?

FINDING THE LOST: THE SENTINEL WARS is a cover-to-cover action packed adventure. Things that go bump in the night, blazing hot romance, and characters that leap from the pages had me up late into the night. Shannon K. Butcher is quickly making herself a home in the paranormal romance genre and it doesnt get much better than this.

Wow - such a wide range of reviews .

This author is such an amazing writer to draw you in so completely. I'm personally desperately wanting to read Madoc's story.

She is pulling in the paranormal romance lovers as well as the fantasy -- lovers - readers who don't love the romance and falling in love..

Christine Feehan, j r ward, and a few other AMAZING authors write so well that we are all becoming the followers of the series. Thank you "authors" from all of us readers who need these stories and you will never be able to write fast enough. We love the characters just as much as you do and we truly appreciate your creative minds

From the moment I picked it up from the mail box, it did not leave my hands again unless I had to eat and sleep. I did very little sleeping fo long too full of adreilne to want to know what is going . The constant action is great and it doesnt get loaded down with mushy bonding, all you will want to do is find the next book . People are needing to be saved from the demons. The systern are plotting bigger end of all game. We get more info about how these women seem to be there when need, how they are direct defendant. Unknown to the warriors the portal they protect has been opening to allow the princes to come to our world and mate with human women. The children are needed to help fight the war. But the fathers cannot stay too long. Leaving the mothers to raise kids alone.
Will be great to find out if the princes and king would come to help save the world.....
I love this series so far and I just bought the others in my quest to get to the bottom.
