I might have given this book a full 4, if it had not been so painful to read. Gripping, nonetheless. It is the true story of two writers who fell in love in middle age and married and remained in love till the end. It is mainly the story of Bill's ten-month fight against terminal cancer. Bill was a judge and novelist, his wife, an award-winning feature writer and book editor for The Detroit News.
