This book of poems is a joy to read aloud with your child to teach them the rhythms of speech and the fun of poetry. My shy 11 year old daughter caught on quickly and was soon enjoying the pattern and interplay of the phrases.

If you enjoy nature and poetry and sharing these with someone else, you will love this book!

Written to be read aloud by two voices - sometimes alternating, sometimes simultaneous - here is a collection of irresistable poems that celebrate the insect world, from the short life of the mayfly to the love song of the book louse. Funny, sad, loud and quiet, each of these poems resounds with a booming, boisterous, joyful noise.

Award-winning poetry for two readers. All poems are about insects.
