A disappointing addition to the long list of bios/histories of the demise of the Russian Imperial family. I had to drag myself thru it to finish it and one of the best parts of the book is the last 75 pages. This one includes a lot of political back and forth that doesn't add anything to the story. And if this was truly a research study of the incident & civil upheaval, it should have included some footnotes like other volumes have done. No details of the "finding" of the burial site long after, nor any mention of the forensic investigation that went on to assure the identities of those found buried.
