A slim volume, easily carried in a pocket. The lists of various butterflies and moths face color illustrations. Excellent introduction that starts with the basic question--what is the difference between a moth and a butterfly? The former are mostly active at night, the latter mostly during the daytime and are generally more colorful. However, there are some exceptions although both have a life cycle of four stages.
"Photographing butterflies and moths is tricky but rewarding: it is an excellent way to build a 'collection' without harming your specimens." Details follow.
These insects can be raised but I myself like better the idea of planting a garden so as to attract them.
