This is a book about true crime, most of which are murders, written by a man who usually writes books about baseball. Here, he pretty exhaustively runs down the basic facts of many, many murders popularized in American history and gives you his input on things. He actually comes up with his own theories about some of the more well-known cases and tells you why he thinks that Lizzie Borden was innocent, why there probably was a 2nd shooter at the JFK assassination, and what went so terribly wrong with the Jon-Benet murder investigation. But that's not all, by any stretch of the imagination. He also tells you about other books that have been written about specific murders or criminals and whether those books are worth reading or worth skipping and why he thinks so. To say that I loved this book would be an understatement. I was glued to every last page. If you like reading books about true crimes, this is the book not to be missed!!
