This is a reprint of one of Macomber's book published in 1998. I'm not really fond of reprints and wish they would let us know this small fact before we buy the book. Since they usually were not that good the first time around and reprinting them again doesn't make the story any better.
The plot is just ok, but I found it rather ho hum, even with all the action thrown in. Maybe the author saw Indiana Jones and decided to write something similar. I didn't find the story very believable and the characters lacked depth. I'm am about 3/4th of the way into the book and am not even sure I care enough about the ending see what happens. Maybe I'll try to finish reading it at bedtime so it can bore me to sleep....
