Well, I hope I can write this well when I am 89 (he was born in 1919 and still going at 94). But he seemed more upset about the lack of respect his Gaia theory receives in the scientific community than the impending "culling" of the population in the next decades. He is something of a contrarian, pro-nuclear power and anti-wind turbines.
