This book is about Pediatric Cardiologists and the children they treat. I have a daughter with Congenital Heart disease so this book really hit home for me. It is very graphic with medical terms and cases and has some very sad stories.

This is not an easy book to read. Some of the stories WILL leave you in tears. However, as the mother of a sweet little girl born with a heart defect (Tetralogy of Fallot), I felt that this book gave me some invaluable preparation for the time we spent at the hospital for her birth and surgical repair. The section about questions to ask about a surgical facility was some of the most helpful advice I had gotten about selecting a surgeon and hospital that I have found. I recommend this book to all "heart parents". Thank you, Mr Ruhlman, for this book.
