This is a heartwarming book with a great spiritual context. Very down to earth humorous style that you will absolutely love. You will fall in love with this bunch of mismatched women that learn to grow together through prayer.

Sorry, I only made it through the 5th chapter before dropping it back in the library bookdrop. I found the author's writing style as underdeveloped and the dialogue too unrealistic. For example, Avis invites her co-worker to a Women's Conference where she complains about attending the prayer group because it might keep her up past her bedtime. However, when Avis does decide to show up she ends up being the leading prayer! Other "churched" ladies have such bad attitudes that I just couldn't continue. Perhaps that turns out to be the point of the story...enough prayer can change the attitude?!
