I didn't much care for this book. I just couldn't quite buy into Mr. Knightley writing the kind of stuff in his diary that he did. It made him sound a little like a smitten schoolboy at times. However, I did like some of the side characters and their experiences - little things that were not in the original Emma, but still fit into the story as possible events. I have read some REALLY bad alternate POV and sequels to Jane Austen novels, and this is not one of the worst. I did not have a desire to throw it against the wall or out the window while I was reading it. It was just kind of lukewarm and a little dull. I can't really recommend it or not recommend it. I guess it depends on the reader's taste.
