Some say this book is depressing, i felt that it was not depressing but eye opening. To have an understanding of what someone whos having a breakdown is experiencing. There were alot of funny part which surprised me. I enjoyed it and finished it quickly

susannas story was heart breaking but compelliing. How could you possibly understand what somebody is feeling when theyre suffering from a mental illness, she explains it so well i found my self saying "oh wow , so thats what that feels like" or "i know exactly what you mean!" Like when she spoke about the two trains or the packaged meat. The way its written really makes you get a better understanding of what she felt.

I really enjoyed this book, such courage for a young girl, i could never imagine doing anything shes done. Her amazing story gives much hope in a cruel world, im surprised her story isnt more popular

I saw the video for this book on amazon and said i have to have it even though i wasnt a 100% sure what it was about.
The story is nothing like anything Ive ever read before, the pictures are real vintage pictures which really added to the story (it almost made me feel like I was a kid again reading a book with pictures and that was fun!)
I read a review that said the story felt like it was all written off the pictures and I kept that in mind as I read the book. I have to disagree, they inhanced it even if the author did do that, then he is a genius because its a very orginal story.
I gave it 4 stars because normally these arent the type of novels I like to read that involve fantasy- still a good read

Very sad story . I think it took great courage for christina to write this and im thankful to her for sharing her story. The end really annoyed me but i was happy christina made peace with everything

I've read many holocaust books, this book was very different. The author researched this book extremely well. I enjoyed it because it brought up things you might not have realized or made you think twice about what you thought you knew.
