Neil Gaiman is great with short stories! His take on Snow White, told from the stepmother's view, is creepy, witty and entirely plausable (assuming of course that you believe in dwarfs, magick and vampires) Some of the stories are funny and some a little bit creepy but I can't think of a single one I didn't like.
