I actually had this book as a child. I studied it very hard before 5th grade of my own free will. I remember the physics lessons well, I did not even have to that sort of work in HS. I highly recommend this series. I doubt the basics have changed in ten years. Doing this book over the summer helped me get ahead in school and I always tested well in the standardized tests. This is not a "christian" homeschooling book. They go over the classic myths and science as well. There is no religious bias. I totally suggest having your kids do this during the summer according to whether they need to catch up or get ahead these books are great.

The fifth grade one has the Jaberwokie and some other really great stories in there.
