First off the main reason I bought this book was because of the dragon on the cover. I love dragons and dragon stories. Even though I wasn't a big fan of the Leven Thumps books by this author (I only made it through book 2), I didn't loathe them. The book started off well and continued at a very good pace but I kept wondering where the dragons are. When it finally got there and the book ended I was left a bit disappointed. Hopefully I can explain why without providing any spoilers. For anyone who is really into dragons, I feel you will be greatly disappointed reading this book. The dragons seem to be used in this book and then done away with. They are not good nor are they bad but kind of indifferent. They are "hatched" and used for greed. Death seems inevitable for them. It's really quite depressing if you are looking forward to a book about dragons. I'm not sure if I'll read the rest in the series especially if the dragons are dealt with in the same manner.
