Back to 1948 Pittsburgh for round six of Wilson's saga of the African-American. Local blues guitarist, Floyd, has a hit record and is on track for another. Problem is that he is just out of jail, his git-fiddle is in hock, he's broke, he has to get to Chicago, and in scene one he's dead. This then is about how he got there. Why seven guitars I haven't fathomed in spite of the author's introductory comments.
