Though this book starts out a bit choppy with too much rehashing of previous relationships and storylines, Kenner finally settles down and once again the reader is vicariously enjoying Kate's life as a wife, mom and demon hunter.

Now that Stuart knows Kate's part time job, he has decided to give up his run for political office and is now training to help Kate in her nightly forays into demon hunting. Unfortunately, this time it gets a bit too close to home and Kate's family is in real danger. You don't threaten a demon hunters family, so Kate kicks this one up a notch only to find out that the danger is closer then ever and she now must make a choice. Is Eric, her first husband, really who he claims to be or is he too keeping a secret deep inside.

Decisions are never easy for this demon hunting soccer mom, but now that her past is revealed, she must make choices. She isn't who she thought she was, her history has been opened and now she must move forward and it's up to Stuart if he wants to join her.

I've finally fallen out of love with the Demon Hunter series. This one was a chore for me to get through, but I pushed through out of loyalty to the series. Not sure others felt the same, but... I felt it lacked the charm of its predecessors.

I wanted to love this as much as I liked the previous books in the series but there was just something that annoyed about the characters, Kate especially. I found it very distracting that the only exclamation anyone ever said was "dear god" and Kate seemed to find herself with tears streaming down her face at least once a chapter. I didn't mind the story, though I still don't understand the thing with Eric at the end -- I guess that's the deus ex machina at work. I just found that some of the writing tended to annoy me more than in last books. The series has definitely taken a turn for the dark in this one and I kinda miss the Kate that was killing demons then racing home to cook dinner. I'll be okay if this is the last book in the series but if it's not, I hope the story picks up in Rome and we get some laughs back.

This is a great series! Very easy to read and quick moving. If you like strong female characters you will like this series.

This book picks up right where the last one left off. Life in San Diablo has always been interesting, but lately it has become ... well, Hell.

Once again the reader is vicariously enjoying Kate's life as a wife, mom and demon hunter. Fighting the demons has gotten harder and more of Kate's non-standard life becomes less organized and more painful. She isn't who she thought she was, her history has been opened and now she must move forward.

Well written and lots of fun, if a little slow. Just be sure to read them in order, as it's a continuing story. I'm not sure how much further this story line can go ... but I sure am enjoying it!

The fourth and final book of the Demon Hunting Soccer Mom exceeded my expectations. I don't know why the name of the series seems to change slightly book to book, but it is all part of the same series. Kate Conner is very real and is easy to identify with. The book jacket to an earlier book suggests Kate Conner is like Buffy becoming a soccer mom if she kept her past a secret. I think Julie Kenner's series is better. I loved this series, it is one of the best I've ever read.
