A Kate Fansler mystery. The book raises some relevant issues about dangerous forces and movements in society today..author's insider knowledge enlivens her descriptions of academia. A St.Bernard puppy may be an important clue or a red herring. A witty and literate addition to her 11 other mysteries.
A long running academic mystery series, very enjoyable.
I usually love this seris for Kate's witty banter. Although I appreciate that she was not herself in this book as she was struggling with kidnapping of her husband, there was something missing in the story.
