This was recommended by a writing teacher, and the book is twice as interesting as I expected. Instead of dry how-to's, it offers plump, fascinating anecdotes about all kinds of research, from deciphering brittle library archives to handling antique muskets to understand the feelings of Revolutionary War soldiers - and more. Inspiring and informative. Highly recommended.
