OK, I'm a Serge fan and have been since Florida Roadkill but this one kind of disappointed me. I still love Serge's inventive way of handling people who upset him and his manic protection of Jim Davenport is endearing but I just wasn't much into this one. However, I am looking forward to Nuclear Jellyfish.
Tim Dorsey and his hyper-active anti-hero Serge Storms are sort of an acquired taste - if you've acquired the taste, you'll enjoy this one, but otherwise it will leave you scratching your head. The humor is of the take-no-prisoners-variety, and the characters are there to serve the ever-outrageous plot. If you're an afficianado, however, you'll find this right down your alley.
Great book, amazing way that he brought old characters even maybe dead ones together to make a spectacular story mix. I think the line that best sums up all of his books, was when Serge was on a bridge taking pictures and Coleman asks whatcha doin? and he answers "Just gettin my Serge on" Every book he has wrote has been a masterpiece and this one is no different. Can't wait to be able to say I not only read them all...I got the t-shirt too.
Ah, another adventure by Serge Storms and Coleman. Tim Dorsey expands his creative genius and imagination for a serial killer and his cohort.
