For me this was an intriguing story that I could not put down until I finished it. Brenda a student at a southern university was working living with her sister one summer when she accepted a date from a stranger, a cop. She was conned into marrying him. Had she talked to her family they would have talked her out of the marriage. At the time she was only 18, so she lacked the wisdom that age usually brings. The marriage was a total diaster. Her 1st husband was a brutal, cruel man. SHe divorced him, took her baby and went to live with her supportive Christian parents . By a miracle she was admitted into nursing school and became an RN. The rest of her life was miraculous. This is a must read for women and especially teens.
