Paranormal thriller by Will Hill, third in the Department 19 series.
Lots going on this this story. It helps to read the first two books. Jaimie Carpenter now leads his own squad, in Department 19, tasked with killing vampires. His girlfriend, the vampire Larissa, also part of Blacklight is on loan to the American equivalent, located in Nevada. Larissa finds friendship and acceptance in the desert, that she never had in England.
Everyone is preparing for the rise of Dracula, and trying to find a way to stop it, when psychiatric patients are all turned into vampires, and released. Unfortunately, one of these vampires has knowledge of Blacklight, and a grudge.
Good book. Lots of action, lots of sub-plots. Worth a credit.
