I haven't read a Jackson book for a long time and wanted to give her one more try---but---
This is the most tedious book ever!!! It's 500+ pages and it's mostly just repeat repeat repeat every chapter or every other chapter and gets tiresome so that part you can skip over and move on but moving on? oh my, it takes forever to get to the point, ok?
I finally just flipped to the back and got what I needed for an ending and closed it and now I'll give it away
Jackson is an author that has to put everything and the kitchen sink along with the bathtub/sink in every book to create more pages but soooooo boring and tedious/tiresome
I won't be giving her another chance just because her writing style is tedious and I don't have time for all the crap she inserts that isn't necessary

Disappointing. This is a thick book, & I know the author must have spent a lot of time on it, but...........The characters aren't really 'fleshed out'; they are not sympathetic & I really disliked the so-called 'hero' (a womanizing ass) There are twists & turns & murders galore, and after awhile, I really didn't care about any of them.
