I throughly enjoyed this book it was filled with not only likeable but well drawn characters. The book had enough naval action to keep the excitement going but also was liberally sprinkle with the witty and humorous observations of the main character. The first in a trilogy of books. Highly recommended. I was disappointed to find that although more of the books had been originally planned the author and publisher opted for another series . To bad this had the makings of Dewey Lambdin's Alan Lewrie Series.
