FINE EASY READING ABOUT THE LIFE OF RURAL CHINESE UNDER THE OPPRESSIVE RULE OF THE COMMUNISTS. THE BOOK TELLS ABOUT HOW CONTROLLING THE COMMUNISTS ARE WHEN THEY TRY TO CONTROL WHO AND WHEN ONE CAN MARRY, IF ONE WANTS TO HAVE CHILDREN, WHEN TO HAVE A BABY, AND THEN IF ONE IS PREGNANT ILLEGALLY, COERCE THE WOMAN INTO ABORTION, BY MURDERING HER UNBORN CHILD. MOST FREEDOMS WE HAVE HAVE HERE IN AMERICA WE TEND TO TAKE FOR GRANTED. THEY HAVE NO FREEDOMS. NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED THERE FOR THE GOOD.
