It's about a teenaged detective and her friends solving mysteries. This is number 3 in the series.

While vacationing, Nancy Drew and her best friend Helen, take a motorboat out on a lake when a storm hits. They end up being rescued by Laura Pendleton who heard their cries for help. Laura befriends them, explaining that her mother recently died and she is at the resort awaiting her new guardians. When Nancy meets Laura's guardians, she wonders why a mother would ever want these people to look after her daughter. There is something very suspicious about them. Nancy decides to look into the situation.

I read this book when I was in grade school and I am slowly re-reading the series. The mystery was well plotted. Nancy knows something is not right; but can't put her finger on it. She uses her sleuthing abilities to solve the mystery. My rating: 4 Stars.

#: The Bungalow Mystery Review

Plot: I really enjoyed the story that goes along with the bungalow. I really was sad, but crazy story. (7/8)

Characters: Luara so far is the most sadest character through out the series. I thought her foster-parents were cruel, and evil. (5/8)

Action: This book is keene on action but there are some times when I think Nancy really crosses the line. She's all alone, and who know what could of happened to her. (4/8)

Pros: Great cover, cool characters, great story, what action did happen was tense.

Cons: Nancy's tempt to save the day alone was crazy, same beganing, the bungalow is spoken of once.

Overall: I didn't find this book horrible, but it could of been better. (5/8)
