2.5 out of 10 stars for this book. Doesn't give you much in terms of continuation other than Mat's point of view. Rand doesn't show up till the end. Seems that Jordan may have cut and paste from previous books with all the identical information within the book.

Sooooooo........kind of like the last book, there's characters that I've grown to care about that are in mostly boring situations. This book doesn't really go anywhere, and when it does pick up some steam it's in the last 200 pages. Problem is it's a 800 page book. And, not to mention, you don't even interact with a main character until over 100 pages in! I read it because I've read the previous books and I'm trying to get to the final 3 books, which I hear are outstanding. I feel like Mr. Jordan could have combined this and Winter's Heart, trimmed the fat and had a decent book. But he didn't. But, what are you going to do? Not read it and read the rest? (sigh....) On to Knife of Dreams ..
