That's a good one Charles.  I'm reading a couple of vintage mysteries :  The Case of the Sulky Girl and Murder Up My Sleeve by Earle Stanley Gardner.  Don't know why I like these older mysteries but I do and now and then I find a couple to pick up and read.  By the way anyone who wants them can claim them for FREE.  I'm nearly finished with the first one (Sulky) which I like very much and Murder is next up.

I'm reading 'Yuletide Suspect'  by Lisa Phillips.  Christian Suspense.  She is quite a good writer.  I have 'The Diva Cooks Up a Storm' by Krista Davis and 'Say No Moor'  by Maddy Hunter.  I keep meaning to stop reading the Maddy Hunter series.  But then I put the next one on my wish list................I'm hopeless, I guess.

Just finished reading A Local Habitation by Seanan McGuire, second book in the October Daye series, which I rate at four stars.  October is a changeling who investigates many situations.  In this novel she is sent to a tech company operated by changelings and full-blood fae.  Her mission is to find out what is happening with the niece of her liege, Sylvester, who hasn't heard from the niece for some time.  What she encounters is murder, murder and more murder.  Her challenge is to discover who is doing the murders, how and why.  As individual after individual die, October finds herself not only increasingly perplexed but also the target of the murderer.  The gate to the company grounds crashes onto her car as she enters the area but she escapes with cuts, bruises, and a few burns.  Twice she finds herself the target of someone wielding a gun who fortunately misses.  This is a quick riveting read that I just couldn't put down until the last page.   Good exciting book.

Death Notes by Ruth Rendell. This book had a different title at some time in its past. Took a long time to explain everything at the end.
