Interesting secrets unfold in this book of the series.

This is book four of a seven book series centered around the Iconian Gateways, and it is one of best of the series.
The Iconians want to sell the Gateway technology and the Federation doesn't want anyone else to have it. Meanwhile the gates are all open and that is causing a lot of trouble.
Since DS9 went off the books have been continuing the story and this book is part of that. Kira is commander of DS9, Jake is on a quest to rescue his father, Worf is Federetion ambassador to the Klingons, etc. This all may take a little catching up with if you haven't been reading the other books, but there is enough in this book to explain everything.
However, be warned, all six of the Gateways books leave off at a critical point in the story and the last part of all six stories is in book seven.
