I was wondering if anyone here used a dog seat belt and if so what kind and what do you think of it?  I was driving my dog to the vet the other day for an appointment and someone pulled out in front of me, I slammed on my brakes, and Toby flew off the front passenger seat and hit the dash board.  Luckily he wasn't hurt but he was shaken up and so was I!!  So, I'd like to find out what I can about these seat belts for dogs.

I have a harness with a buckle that attaches into the car seat belt latch.  He doesn't mind it, he has never been a dog that sticks his head out the window.  Once or twice I have had to stop suddenly and my dog as falled off the seat and becasue of the harness he couldn't get back up, so I had to pull over and put him back on the seat.  We have the General Cage car Harness.  I ordered it online, then to find out they had them in the grocery store in the pet aisle.
