I am starting to enjoy Cathy Maxwell's books. It was a quick read, and very romantic in a love/ hate relationship. You didn't know whose side to be on. Very entertaining.

I purchased this book on Saturday - New, prepared to sit out my time in Chuck-E-Cheese with the kids running amok. I did not want to leave Chuck-E-Cheese when they were out of tokens. And gave them 10 bucks to go play some more. Well written, excellent character development. Worth the read.

I don't think I would read another Cathy Maxwell book after this. The characters were in love too quickly, the dialogue and actions of the characters didn't suit the era, it never felt terribly romantic. I thought the male lead was extremely unlikeable. I love damaged characters, the guys whose actions seem irredeemable, who are rotten scoundrels, etc. This guy just seemed like a jerk to me. I thought the female lead seemed like a ninny who was absolutely right to be angry with him except she got over it in about an hour. I didn't like either character at all and didn't care what happened to them in the end.

Nice addition to Maxwell's series. I thought this was a nice and quick read with a cute come together from a separated married couple.

i dont know why some disliked this book. i enjoyed this book. Gillian recognize something in Brian immediately and it take him 4 yrs to realize what she knew all along. its an honest story of a boy growing into a man and his path to winning his wife's heart.
