Dr. Karen Hamaker- Zondag is one of the few astrologers/astrology writers trained in Jungian psychology (your reviewer Tracy Marks is another). Her work provides considerable psychological depth to the interpretation of the chart. This book focuses on the elements of fire, earth, air, water as they are reflected in zodiacal signs, and the conflicts engendered when they make square aspects to each other in the astrology chart. Not a "cookbook," the book consists primarily of theory with sample interpretations and case studies - just enough to provide a foundation for astrology students and practitioners wishing to understand the essential psychodynamics facets of the chart. It is of course likely to be most valuable to those with squares, t-squares or crosses in their astrology charts.
