I'm not sure if this is a book that would be better read than listened to but I absolutely loved it on audio. It took me a little while to get into the 2nd and 3rd narrators but once all 3 story lines started to sync up, I was hooked. Several people have told me they cried while reading this book. I didn't but I found it to be very intense, especially toward the end. I found myself almost holding my breath at parts, listening intently, waiting to hear what happened next. I highly recommend this one for listening.
