When I saw this book it was for a really good price and I had been meaning to read a book from this author for a while so I bought it. I found an O.K. medieval-esque adventure/quest. I liked it more or less but I feel that the author has the main character crying/teary and fainting a lot, I would be reading and say to myself "there he goes again". Not a must read,a pleasant diversion at best, you could pass.
I thought that the story line was fairly original. It was not a predictable plot line, and a quick read.
this is the first book i've read by reichert, and it was enjoyable for me. i like middle-ages type fantasy, and this was definitely in those veins. some of the characters were a little cheesy, but it was easy to get sucked in and cheer on sueldan while he was trying to rescue his family.
