I really like this author but you can tell that this is one of her earlier endeavors. Not much of a story line and very predictable.

Nick's persistence finally paid off when Vanessa agreed to meet him. She'd expected arrogance and confidence, but was surprised by Nick's complexity. She started letting down her guard...Until she learned that Nick had played a role in her past that was as shocking as it was heartbreaking.
