There's nothing deep about it, but it's got nice world-building and two appealing characters in Oriana and Duilio. Interesting magical system, some people have gifts, there are non-humans and despite the prophecy there doesn't seem to be a lot of prejudice towards them. I couldn't quite picture what the City Under the Sea was supposed to look like. The houses were upside down? What was the original intent of the artist, how would anyone see it? Maybe I missed something there and it was intended to be the Great Magic from the very start. Nice romance element and I'll be looking for the next one.
