Just found this series last fall and I love it! Likeable characters, very different plots, a heroine who uses her head and keeps asking question after question until she figures out whodunit. I have given this series to many of my friends who, like me, prefer our detectives intelligent rather than foolhardy and tough. And there are a numbere of books in the series -- always a plus for me.

This first book in the series is excellent and is also a movie. It's so nice to find an enjoyable, intelligent, and satisfying series with a delightful detective. Christine Bennet (ex-nun) is not only a character you would love to have as a friend, but she is also good at tracking down murderers and will provide mystery readers with quality reading!

I enjoy the main character in this series. This book was an easy read - it took many details and wove them together to solve the mystery.

Ex-nun Chris Bennett has just left the cloistered life. Before she has even settled into her new life, she finds her self volunteering to investigate a 40-year old mystery. Good read.

I'm really enjoying the Christine Bennett series. The characters are well developed, there's enough background to feel like you have known these people for a long time, and yet it's not so congested with irrelevant descriptions that make you want to skip ahead.
