Reads like a cross between Tony Hillerman and Carl Hiaasen, with an undercurrent of humor and just a touch of wacky permeating a murder mystery on a Southern Ute reservation on Colorado. Part of a series that I'll be reading more of. This one features a mysterious man-killing light in the sky that may or may not be Grandmother Spider coming out of her underwater cave to hunt for prey.
