This is a short story about a little boy who is getting ready for school and sees his ancestor in the mirror while he's brushing his teeth. The ancestor is a viking warrior and at first the boy is afraid. But the ancestor says he is there to meet him and see if he his descendant is like him. He takes him to school and back home with him to stay for dinner. Along the way he learns about his ancestor and how they are alike in certain ways, and that he's not exactly what the boy thought a viking warrior would be like. This is such a cute book! It introduces the concept to a young child of what an ancestor and what a descendant are. Appropriate for a younger child.
