One of my favorite John Saul books. The story of a boy who hears voices (Nick) who befriends a girl with a special talent (Sarah) for painting things she couldn't posssibly have seen yet. Add Sarah being forced to go to a horrible foster home, an art teacher who's called a witch by the religious zealots of the town and a house that's seen far, far too much horror.... and you've got House of Reckoning.
