This is a laugh-out-loud-on-public-transportation-so-hard-that-people- will-avoid-sitting-by-you book. One of Notoro's better books.

More great reading from Laurie Notaro. As the entries are short stories, this is great reading for the elliptical trainer. It makes the 20 minutes a day pass in no time. Plus, you get extra exercise trying to stay upright and not fall off while you are laughing hysterically. :)

This book is a hilarious look at some Christmas traditions (and non-traditions), like taking grandma shopping, starting your period on Christmas eve and having to stand in lines at the trailer-park-trash kmart for hours to get some kotex. Mom's "hot" new tree that she bought off of QVC, etc. I was laughing out loud throughout most of the book. A good, quick read, and a nice funny romp.
