I have always been for the notion that one should explore one's own back yard before tackling the rest of the universe. Mrs C. and I have been doing the same in our state, one state park at a time

I got my 1st postcards today too~~ Rebecca sent red panda post card~ very interesting facts on the back about pandas in the US. Your goal of seeing all your counties is what we've been doing as well~ Tx has 254 counties~ a long way to go for us. ~~ 

and a postcard from Towana of buffalo/bison in Wyoming~~ we got lots of bison/buffalo here in TX. We love visiting Wy and the parks there~ awesome views and weather~~

Wow, Rebecca, 86 out of 100 is a lot of counties! California only has 58 counties, so few compared to North Carolina. I love your plan to visit all the corners of your home state.

Your trip sounds fantastic, Towana. What an amazing experience. My daughter visited Alaska last month and saw some moose - so cool.
