Stories are shorter than reading a whole book but hard to put down and very entertaining.

Very good stories like usual for James Herriot. Would make a nice gift book also.

A very short collection of stories extracted from other books by Herriot, with some nice illustrations and a brief introduction by Herriot's son.
These are probably among the heartwarming best from the entire series. Nice - particularly with the illustrations - but there's nothing really new here if you've read the other books.

Further stories about animals Dr Herriot DVM encountered.
I love James Heriot's books. They bring all animals to life like no one else can . James was an English Country farm vet and he had some delightful experiences with cows, Horses, sheep, other farm animals and cats and dogs. I think that the funniest story is " Tricky Woo Requests your Pleasure". Tricky Woo is a Pekingese dog owned By a rich widow Mrs. Pumphrey Who has too much time and Money on her hands. When she and Tricky woo go on Vacation they send Uncle Hrriott Hampers of delightful treats, when Mrs. Pumphrey has a party Tricky Woo Attends. James heriott has the market cornered on Animal stories. He is the best.
