I ended out June at 234.6. I don't plan to weigh again until Sunday (or try not to weigh before then) so I don't have to see the yo-yo-ing. Going to follow the basic plan I had for June and see how it goes.

Did go ahead and weigh in this morning for the 1st day of the month weigh in, which is 235.7, so from June 1st to July 1st. I'm down 6.8 lbs. Not as well as I had thought it'd be since I was 2 lbs. lower a couple days ago. But with all the yo-yo-ing I do, it's still a decent weight loss.

I lost a post earlier today due to the too many redirects error.

i was unhappy this morning when the scale said 250.6. angry Over 250 again!

but... June 1 was 254, so I guess that is a net loss of 3.4 pounds.

i was at work very late last night finishing stuff since it was my "last day" and so I had to leave clear directions for whoever needed to take over.

i thought I just needed a couple of hours so I got there at 5, after my shift at the thrift store, but I was there past 11.

after the redirect error I decided I better take a walk before it gets even hotter, so walk 1 is done. This week I'm supposed do do 3 walks of at least 15 minutes each day. I did not walk yesterday other than the thrift store shift, in which I stand the whole time.

my other goals for the month are the same as last month.... keep closer track of sodium, and do the RespErate daily.

Daily check in for this week: (in future weeks I'll lower the sodium and raise the walk length)

  • Walk 1: at least 15 minutes
  • Resperate: session 1
  • Walk 2: at least 15 minutes
  • List sodium in everything I eat and keep track of total keep under 2000 absolutely and under 1500 is better!
  • Walk 3: at least 15 minutes
  • Bonus: Resperate: session 2 (optional since I'm no longer in maintenance mode)
  • Bonus: sodium under 1200
  •

Margaret, don't beat yourself up.Youll get there. You're doing the best you can. Do you think you might be setting too many monthly goals at once?

I know for me, I have to just focus on 1-2 things and try to follow thru with those before I try adding on more. Right now my monthly goals are to:

1) Watch my portion sizes as well as my sodium. I'd love to keep my sodium very low but I've noticed a big increase in cramping in my hands and feet on days when I have very little sodium. So that's something I have to be aware of.

I accidentally unwatched this thread!  My bee stings are slowly improving although they are still red, hot and itchy. I've stayed indoors out of the heat, doing little that would heat up my stings and make me itch. I'm still taking quite a bit of Benadryl. I think the Benadryl is causing me to retain water. And I'm depressed. I'm hoping only one more day of this.

Hope you get to doing better soon Teri. If you can get in a bathtub, try soaking in epsom salts and luke warm water. Or soak in baking soda water. Both will sooth your stings. I've never heard of benadryl causing someone to retain water but it will make you sleepy or sometimes jittery.

I can't stay off of the scale, no matter how hard I try. With my weight going down I just feel the need to keep it in check. This morning I'm 234.1.

Vicki I do better with fewer goals, too, but most of what I listed are things I'm already doing, just not consistently. So I'm trying to improve on that.

Yesterday I did nothing except make a big pot of chili and some reading. But the scale said 248.4, so back under 250.

I'm glad you got back under 250, Margaret. Any 4th of July plans?
