This was my first experience with this author. As I started it, I realized that the 2 main characters had a prior meeting. That made it a tad bid annoying even though the preceding story was mentioned in sniglets.
Therefore, I would suggest reading the first book first.
I rather enjoyed these 2 characters a lot. The supporting characters were rather delightful and I would like to think they get their own stories.
Overall I was very pleased and will look for more of A. Darif's works.
