This is the second time I have read this book, and I loved it just as much as I did years ago! It was a book club read for this month because we started talking about lighthouses!. A couple living in and managing a remote lighthouse in the early 1900's off the coast of Australia, one day have a boat washed ashore. The boat contained a dead man and a baby. The woman, who has recently gone through miscarriages and a stillbirth takes in the baby, and they continue to raise her as their own. Living an idyllic life, until they return home on holiday, and find out the true story behind the shipwreck. Life turns totally upside down for everyone.

An unusual setting and great story that comes together well. Not many of us could imagine what it would be like to live alone in a lighthouse for months at a time. Fun read.
